💧 Clotrimazole Lotion 1%
🔹 1. Prescription / Indication:
Clotrimazole 1% lotion is a topical antifungal used for fungal skin infections, especially when:
- The affected area is hairy, large, or sensitive
- Cream is unsuitable (e.g. scalp, groin, folds)
Indications include:
- Tinea corporis (ringworm)
- Tinea cruris (jock itch)
- Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot)
- Cutaneous candidiasis
- Pityriasis versicolor (tinea versicolor)
🔹 2. Description:
- Form: Topical lotion (liquid emulsion)
- Strength: 1% w/v Clotrimazole
- Appearance: White or off-white liquid, slightly viscous
- Route: For external use only
- Application: Apply 2–3 times daily on clean, dry skin
- Typical treatment duration: 2–4 weeks

- Clean and dry area before application
- Apply a thin layer and gently spread over affected and surrounding skin
- Wash hands after use
- Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds
- Continue full course even if symptoms improve early
- Use loose-fitting clothing to reduce moisture and friction
- If no improvement in 2–4 weeks, consult doctor
- Discontinue if irritation, redness, or allergy occurs
