π Description:
- Doxycycline is a semisynthetic tetracycline-class antibiotic.
- Injectable form is supplied as lyophilized powder (100 mg per vial) for reconstitution and IV infusion.
- Mechanism: Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit β prevents aminoacyl-tRNA attachment.
