๐ Description:
- Clindamycin Capsule 150 mg contains clindamycin hydrochloride, equivalent to 150 mg of clindamycin base.
- It is a semisynthetic lincosamide antibiotic with a broad antibacterial spectrum.
- Primarily used for Gram-positive cocci and anaerobic bacterial infections.
- Typically presented as hard gelatin capsules, packed in strips or blisters.
- Prescribed when oral antibiotic therapy is required, especially in penicillin-allergic patients.

- Acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis at the 50S ribosomal subunit.
- Shows bacteriostatic or bactericidal activity, depending on the concentration.
- Highly active against anaerobic bacteria and some protozoa.
- Rapid oral absorption with excellent tissue penetration.
- It is not suitable for CNS infections as it does not cross the blood-brain barrier effectively.
