๐ Description:
- Clindamycin Capsule 300 mg is a broad-spectrum lincosamide antibiotic.
- Each capsule contains 300 mg of clindamycin hydrochloride, equivalent to clindamycin base.
- It is used for serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible anaerobic or Gram-positive bacteria.
- The capsule is usually hard gelatin, available in blister or strip packs.
- It is a prescription-only medication, often used when penicillins are contraindicated.

- Bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on the concentration and organism.
- Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit.
- Active against anaerobes, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Pneumococci.
- Exhibits excellent tissue penetration, including into bone and abscesses.
- Does not cross the blood-brain barrier, so not suitable for CNS infections.
