๐น 1. Prescription / Indication:
Enoxaparin 60 mg/0.6 mL is typically prescribed for treatment (not just prevention) of blood clots:
- Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) with or without Pulmonary Embolism (PE)
- Treatment of acute coronary syndromes, including:
- Unstable angina
- NonโST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI)
- Prevention of clot formation in patients undergoing:
- Hemodialysis
- High-risk surgeries
- Can also be used in COVID-19-associated coagulopathy (per hospital protocol)
โ This therapeutic dose is usually given twice daily or once daily, depending on the patient’s weight and renal function.

- Report signs of bleeding or low platelets:
- Unusual bruising
- Nosebleeds, gum bleeding
- Blood in urine or stool
- Dizziness or headache
- Avoid NSAIDs, aspirin, or other anticoagulants unless directed
- Inform your doctor before:
- Surgery
- Spinal/epidural anesthesia
- Special caution in kidney disease, elderly, and underweight/overweight patients
